How We Can Help

At Private GP Lincs, our experienced doctors can assess your health needs and prescribe medications for both short-term and long-term conditions. Following a consultation, we provide treatment plans tailored to your requirements.

We do not charge for generating prescriptions, but you will need to cover the cost of medications at the pharmacy. Pharmacies may also apply a small dispensing or administrative fee. Before prescribing, we can provide an indication of typical treatment costs, though the final amount may vary depending on the pharmacy.

Prescriptions are sent electronically via SignatureRx to a pharmacy of your choice. You will receive a text or email with a unique treatment ID, which you can present at the pharmacy to collect your medication. Most major chains, including Lloyds, Boots, and Tesco, as well as some independent pharmacies, accept SignatureRx. A full list of participating pharmacies is available on the SignatureRx website.

For more information,  head to our Our Community page, which provides a list of local pharmacies that accept our prescriptions.

What We Cannot Prescribe

We cannot prescribe controlled substances, including strong painkillers such as morphine, tramadol, or diazepam. Medications that require specialist monitoring, such as methotrexate, methylphenidate, azathioprine, and ciclosporin, are also outside our prescribing scope. A full list of “shared care treatments” is available via the Lincolnshire Formulary website.

If a specialist or controlled treatment is needed, we can refer you to an appropriate specialist and provide guidance. We can also communicate treatment recommendations to you and your GP following your consultation.
