Tests Available

At Private GP Lincs, our doctors may recommend tests to investigate your health concerns and ensure you receive the most accurate diagnosis and treatment.

We can arrange a variety of tests on-site, including:

  • Pathology: Blood tests
  • Microbiology: Urine, faeces, and swab tests
  • Heart: Electrocardiography (ECG) and blood pressure monitoring

 

We can also refer you to local private hospitals for specialist tests, including:

  • Heart: Echocardiography, ambulatory ECGs, and cardiac imaging
  • Radiology: X-rays, ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI
  • Pathology: Blood, urine, faeces, and swab tests

 

Pathology samples collected by Private GP Lincs are sent to Randox Laboratories for analysis. We will provide a clear cost estimate before taking any samples. If you choose to proceed, the tests will be charged at reception following your consultation. Most results are available within five working days and will be communicated to you electronically by our team.

You are under no obligation to proceed with recommended tests. If you decide not to, we can document our advice to support your ongoing healthcare journey.

Medical Tests

Heart and Lung Tests

Heart and lung tests can be performed at Private GP Lincs by our nursing team, with results interpreted by our doctors. Charges for these tests reflect the time required to perform them and can be found on our Fees page.

Hospital Tests – Radiology and Cardiology

Private hospitals set the fees for these tests. We can provide an estimated cost before making a referral. There is no charge from Private GP Lincs for arranging hospital referrals.

Follow-Up

If test results indicate an urgent concern, our on-call GP will contact you immediately. Otherwise, our Healthcare Assistant or Receptionist will arrange a follow-up appointment.

If you prefer not to schedule a follow-up, we can provide a written summary of your results so you may seek advice elsewhere or arrange an appointment at a later date.
